Tara N. Strickland, Ed.D.
FOUNDER, TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT
I possess 10+ years of training and development experience. As a lifelong Andragogy scholar, I provide adult instruction in the corporate training realm, offering interactive engagement, hands-on instruction, and helpful solutions. I view myself as a transformational leader who designs curriculum as entertaining, encouraging, and enduring as humanly possible.
My expertise includes (but is not limited to) adult learning, learning solutions, instructional design, training & development, curriculum planning, and business communication. Moreover, I possess a solid educational foundation; I am a fourfold graduate of Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO with an Ed.D. in Instructional Leadership – Andragogy, a M.A. in Communications- Training & Development, a M.F.A. in Writing, and a B.A. in Mass Communications. My coursework has equipped me with copious adult learning principles such as transformation and motivation, and communication principles like feedback and clarity.
At my core, I thrive on serving others; it feeds my purpose and fosters a sense of interconnectedness. Because of this mindset, I carved out a unique niche for post-military transitions. Military service members have dedicated their lives to serving our country and I feel honored to return the favor. On a more personal note, my dad served in the Army from 1958-1966. Although he didn’t retire, he still struggled with his transition to civilian life. His high school diploma and military experience landed him in a warehouseman role for 30 years on a $25,000 salary. I can’t help but wonder how much more he could have accomplished if he had access to invaluable resources.
SCG began with the union of diverging minds; I represent the right-brained side—using my imagination to invigorate adult training and intuitiveness to close the right personal/professional development gap.

Jerry Strickland
CO-FOUNDER, PROCESS ENGINEERING CONSULTANT, LEAN SIX SIGMA BLACK BELT
With 15+ years of process improvement experience, I am adept in process design and implementation, process validation activities, project management, strategic planning, and budget monitoring/forecasting. I also offer experience with process mapping techniques (such as flowcharts, value steam, high level, relationship, and SIPOC) and a myriad of analysis tools (i.e., root cause, gap, failure mode and effects, gage R&R, and measurement system).
My certifications as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Quality Engineer have equipped me with the tools and concepts to positively transform any organization. My educational background entails a B.S. in Electronics Engineering, and a M.B.A in Project Management and Information Systems Management. I’m also pursuing an M.B.A. in Engineering Management to further advance my leadership techniques and practical skills.
I can devise inventive solutions to even the most arduous of problems. I embody the “work smarter” mindset, consistently identifying methods to improve processes and increase efficiencies. I stand by the quote, “excellence is not a destination; it is a continuous journey that never ends.”
I represent the left-brained side of SCG—logically analyzing data, crunching numbers, and simplifying processes. Even when the work is done, my methodical mind remains constant. I grab my pen/paper and craft the most perplexing math problem possible. The longer it takes to solve the problem, the more engaged I become. Recreational math is my path to being calm and staying sharp.
